The Sofia Rosa & Vincent
Dominic Calvanese Memorial Foundation was created in 2007 to remember our little ones and allow us the chance
to give back to the facilities which gave our other miracle, Adelina J., a second (and third) chance at life.
Our
mission is to allocate donations to facilities dedicated to the well being of babies born premature or in need of special
attention. We hope that our story will help raise awareness and give hope to others and gives other parents a place
to find comfort that life does and will go on. By giving to places dedicated to saving babies lives, we are helping
to develop technologies to give preemies a fighting chance and give comforts to families of NICU babies & special needs
children who are usually forgotten.
Some children come to us through careful planning, surprise and/or through
others. No matter how we come to know them or how long they stay with us, they are all gifts.
Donations made to The Foundation are allocated to the following facilities:
Abington Memorial Hospital NICU (Sofia Rosa & Vincent Calvanese designated)
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
(NICU designated)
The March of Dimes (Adelina's MOD Bracelet)
BARC (Memory of Jennifer Calvanese)
We want to give sincere thanks to all those who have continued to support our
family through the good times and bad. This charity is our way to honor our loved ones and we hope that
our story gives others hope. The organizations chosen as designees for the funds have blessed us with their dedication
to saving lives and we want to thank them for it.
We think of Sofia and Vincent every day and cherish the
time we had with them. Their wings, already earned, will watch over our other children as they grow up. Until
we all meet again, we will remember.
